Nanostructured Materials for Electronics and Photonics
Call for Papers
Electronic and photonic devices have developed into a dominant global industry over the past fifty years. Next generation devices will require integration of various functions. Therefore, the following decades will witness a continuous stream of innovations focused on nanoscience and nanotechnology as a golden key to unify electronic and photonic devices with several functionalities in a single device that will be produced.
This special issue welcomes both experimental and theoretical groups working in the areas of nanoscale electronic, optoelectronic, and magnetooptical materials. It aims to facilitate the dissemination of interdisciplinary research results in the interrelated and rapidly converging fields of nanoelectronics and photonics.
The main focus of this issue will be placed on enhancing the performance of electronic devices using nanoscience and nanotechnology. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Electronic, optical, and magnetooptical properties of semiconductor oxides, inorganic, organic, and hybrid nanostructures
- Electronic applications of superlattices, quantum structures, and other nanostructures
- Optoelectronic and photonic applications of novel materials and nanostructures
- Oxide-based nanoelectronic circuits and device integration
- Molecular electronics
- Nanobioelectronics
- Nanofabrication, processing, and characterization techniques
- Thin film epitaxy of oxides and nitrides
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jnm/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/jnm/nmep/ according to the following timetable:
