Self-Assembly of Semiconductor Metal Oxide Nanostructures
Call for Papers
In recent years, one-dimensional (1D) semiconductor metal oxide nanostructures, such as nanowires, nanorods, and nanotubes, have been the intensive research focus for their potential applications in optical, electrical, optoelectronic, photocatalytic, and hydrophilic/hydrophobic fields. To improve the output efficiency of the nanodevices in various fields, assembling nanostructured building blocks into two-dimensional (2D) or three-dimensional (3D) hierarchical structures is necessary.
This special issue provides a platform to promote mutual communication, information dissemination, and exchange between the scientists, and hence to promote fruitful collaborations on self-assembly of semiconductor metal oxide nanostructures.
We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the continuing efforts to understand the assembly mechanism and their underlying novel properties. We are particularly interested in articles describing novel growth approaches, unique physical and chemical properties, and nanodevice applications. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Assembly of 1D metal oxide nanostructures for catalytic applications
- Assembly of 1D metal oxide nanostructures for energy applications
- Assembly of 1D metal oxide nanostructures for optoelectronics applications
- Assembly of 1D metal oxide nanostructures for bioinspired smart material applications
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jnm/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/jnm/sasmo/ according to the following timetable:
