Optical Characterization of Nanomaterials

Call for Papers

Optical characterization is an indispensable process for the study of nanomaterials because optical measurements are noninvasive and nondestructive to samples. Recently, various nanooptical characterization methods such as near-field scanning optical microscopy are developed and they lead rapid progress of nanomaterials study. Accordingly, in this special issue, we invite authors to submit original research and review articles that are related to optical characterization of nanomaterials. We are interested in articles that explore aspects of various characterization methods using properties of light and light-matter interactions in nanomaterials. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Advances in optical characterization methods
  • Optical imaging of nanomaterials
  • Nanospectroscopy of nanomaterials
  • Nonlinear and ultrafast phenomena of nanomaterials
  • Nanomaterials for bioimaging
  • Light-matter interactions in nanomaterials
  • Plasmonics of nanomaterials

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jnm/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/jnm/opcha/ according to the following timetable:
