Energy Conversion and Storage: Synthesis, Mechanism, and Applications of Nanomaterials

Call for Papers

One of the recent global hot issues is a shortage in energy supply, since the required energy demand is increasing rapidly with limited fuel energy resources. There are numerous attempts to research new abundant and clean energy sources such as hydrogen, solar, natural gas, oil sand, geothermal, wind, and biomass energies as a future energy source. However, this technology has suffered from limited efficiency of generation and storage for industry application. It should be noted that nanotechnology has been a key point for using the above new energy sources based on the unique properties of the nanoscale.

We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that will stimulate the continuing efforts to develop energy conversion and storage efficiency and to understand mechanism based on nanoscience. It should emphasize the role of nanoscience in the papers. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Gas (hydrogen and natural gas) energy storage and mechanism of micropore-structured carbon materials and nanosized catalysts
  • Nanomaterial modeling and preparation for high performance of lithium battery/capacitor electrodes
  • Nanostructured materials for energy conversion and storage (solar cell, biomass, and geothermal energies)
  • Nanomaterials for energy conversion (piezoelectric or thermoelectric materials)

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jnm/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/jnm/enco/ according to the following timetable:
