Nanostructured Materials for Lithium-Ion Batteries

Call for Papers

Lithium-ion batteries are viewed as one of the viable alternative technologies for applications such as electrical vehicles and hybrid electrical vehicles due to their high energy density and long cycle life. Recent nanotechnology has acted as the positive catalysts for the development of advanced electrode and electrolyte materials for high- performance lithium-ion batteries.

We invite investigators to contribute original research articles as well as review articles that focus on the nanostructures and their electrochemical behaviors in lithium-ion batteries. We are interested in articles that explore aspects of preparation methods of nanostructured electrodes and electrolyte, electrochemical characterization of nanostructured materials, relationships between electrochemical performances and nanostructures, thin-films and nanoarrayed electrodes, and graphene-based composite electrodes and organic electrodes. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Recent developments in high-performance nanostructured electrodes and electrolyte
  • Preparation of nanostructured cathodes, anodes, and electrolyte
  • Effect of nanostructures on electrochemical performances for lithium-ion batteries
  • Preparation techniques of thin-film electrodes and nanoarrayed electrodes
  • Growth methods of graphene-based composite electrodes
  • Organic electrodes for lithium-ion batteries
