Nano for Biomimetics and Biomaterials
Description
It is our great pleasure to announce this special issue on “ nano for biomimetics and biomaterials” in the Journal of Nanomaterials. Nano for biomimetics and biomaterials has become an emerging research and development topic that has attracted enormous research interest for about two decades. The aim of this special issue is to offer high-level full paper or communication articles covering the state of the art on biomimetics, bioinspired technology, artificial muscles, electroactive polymers, biomaterials, and biomedicine providing recent progress on the related fundamental science and applied engineering. This special issue will be a necessary platform for ongoing studies between researchers from different areas (chemistry, physics, biology, medicine, engineering, robotics, etc.) within biomimetic and biomaterial technologies. Therefore, authors are encouraged to submit a research article or a review article related to the following topics, which include, but are not limited to:
- Biomimetic materials and chemistry
- Bioinspired surfaces
- Bioinspired adhesives
- Bioinspired mechanism and design
- Biomimetic sensors and devices
- Biomimetic actuators and robotics
- Bioinspired nanocomposites and nanostructures
- Bioinspired stimuli-responsive materials and actuators
- Biomaterials and biomedicine
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jnm/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/jnm/nanbio/ according to the following timetable:
