The black curve is the optical absorption of a colloidal solution of NaY_0.85Er_0.15F₄ (37 mg/mL in hexane), while the green curve is the optical absorption of 17 mg/mL solution of the nanoparticles after functionalization and reaction with DyL800 infrared dye.
