Mechanism of the formation of copper nanobuds. Copper sulfate forms a complex with PVP when the solution is maintained at pH-7 (60–70°C). The solution turns yellow after the addition of ascorbic acid indicating the formation of Cu(I). INH was added dropwise to this reaction mixture resulting in jasmine bud-shaped copper nanoparticles.
