The possible function of each element is also indicated. The promoter contains four AP-2 (activator protein-2, GCCNNNGGC), one CRE (cAMP response element, TGACGTCA), one Egr (early growth response element, CCCTG), five SP-1 (CCGCCC), two CArG (CC(A/t)6GG), three IRE (two insulin responsive elements with E-box motif, CANNTG, and one with Ets motif, ACGGAT), one c-Myb (coincided with one IRE with E-box motif, CACCTG), one N-Oct-3 (or brn-2, GCCTGAAT), and four Ets elements (GGAA).
