Clinical Pearls for Ophthalmologists: Update on Ocular Imaging of 2013
Call for Papers
The Ocular imaging has been extremely expanded during the recent years and has become an essential tool for the diagnosis of a wide range of ocular disorders by providing physicians with comprehensive, highly detailed images of structures within the eye. Sophisticated ocular images have been contributing for a more effective treatment plan.
In the upcoming special issue of Journal of Ophthalmology, we are intending to publish review papers and original research papers on the current clinical applications of imaging techniques. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Corneal topography
- Wavefront imaging
- Corneal pachymetry
- Specular microscopy
- Confocal microscopy
- Anterior segment optical coherence tomography
- Ultrasound biomicroscopy
- Disc topography
- Nerve fiber layer measurement
- Diagnostic ultrasound (A-scan, B-scan)
- Spectral domain optical coherence tomography
- Wide-field retinal imaging
- Fluorescein angiography
- Indocyanine green angiography
- Enhanced depth imaging optical coherence tomography
- Adaptive optics ophthalmic imaging
All submitted articles will be published in one of the three sections: corneal diseases, glaucoma, and vitreoretinal diseases. Review articles are especially encouraged.
Journal of Ophthalmology has been recently accepted for indexing in the Science Citation Index Expanded and will receive its first Impact Factor in the mid of 2013.
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/jop/guidelines/.
