All scores ranged from 0 to 100. Higher scores represent better functioning. Quality of vision is defined as the mean score of the following subscales: general vision, near activities, distance activities, peripheral vision, and color vision. Vision-related quality of life is defined as the mean score of the following subscales: driving, ocular pain, role difficulties, dependency, social functioning, and mental health. The higher the score the better the quality of life, where 0 represents death and 1 represents perfect health. Scores range from 0 to 100, where 0 represents the worst imaginable health state and 100 represents the best imaginable health state.
