Transfection of human mesangial cells with Ang II using proteojuice. Human mesangial cells incubated for 30 min with a mixture of proteojuice and Ang II-FITC showed green fluorescence (b) compared to cells that were incubated with Ang II-FITC alone (a). In addition, cells incubated with proteojuice + Ang II-FITC and 100 μM candesartan also showed green fluorescence (c) suggesting that treatment with Ang II receptor blocker does not interfere with intracellular delivery of Ang II by proteojuice.
