Mutated fibroblasts induce HIF-1α stabilization in hypoxic conditions.

(a) Fibroblasts were cultured in low glucose serum-free medium for 24 hours in normoxic or hypoxic condition (1% O₂) and then incubated with 5 μM Mitosox for 10 minutes at 37°C for detection of oxygen superoxide. A flowcytometer analysis was then performed. The results are representative of three experiments with similar results. *𝑃<0.005 hypoxic fibroblasts versus normoxic fibroblasts

(b) Lysates of cells treated as in (a) were subjected to HIF-1α immunoblot analysis
