The Redox System in C. elegans, a Phylogenetic Approach
Figure 6
Maximum likelihood majority-rule bootstrap consensus tree of thioredoxin reductase (TRXR), glutathione disulfide reductase (GSR) and dihydrolipoamide dehydrogenase (DLD) proteins. C. elegans possess two TRXR: mitochondrial TRXR-1 and cytosolic TRXR-2. In addition C. elegans contain a single glutathione disulfide reductase (GSR) and the closely related DLD. See Figure 5 for details of how the sequences were identified and processed as well as how the phylogenetic analysis was carried out.
