Differential Effects of Methyl-4-Phenylpyridinium Ion, Rotenone, and Paraquat on Differentiated SH-SY5Y Cells

Figure 2

MPP+-induced mitochondrial dysfunction in differentiated SH-SY5Y. The cells were incubated with 100, 500, and 1000 μM of MPP+, and the MTT test was performed at 24, 48, and 72 h time-points. Mitochondrial dysfunction in differentiated SH-SY5Y cells evaluated by the MTT test. The viability of untreated control cells was set to 100%, and all treatments were expressed as the percentage of the respective controls (results were pooled from 3 different experiments, each experiment having 6 different culture wells per condition). The means were compared using the two-way ANOVA, followed by the Bonferroni post hoc test (*** concentration versus control; ## , ### concentration versus concentration).
