Degree of decomposition is based on the von Post scale in which the percentage of undecomposed fiber in peat is used in the classification of a sample from 1H (least decomposed to 10H (most decomposed) [28]). **CEC (cation exchange capacity) based on the calcium acetate/chloride method [29]. Other parameters were determined using the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) for soils methods. |
