Figure 5: IL-8 induction was significantly ( 𝑃 < 0 . 0 0 1 ) increased in C. trachomatis infected HeLa cells after stimulation with DETA-NANOate and there was synergic effect with DFO. Glucose oxidase treatment induced IL-8 production at same degree in both the C. trachomatis infected and Mock conditions ( 𝑃 < 0 . 0 0 5 ) . Higher inhibition ( 𝑃 < 0 . 0 5 ) of IL-8 induction was observed after addition of nitric oxide specific inhibitor PDTC than ebselen.
