Nicotine does not increase CFTE cell death but increases cell survival at certain concentrations. CFTE29o- cells (/mL) were left untreated or stimulated with increasing doses of nicotine (in triplicate) for 24 hours. Cell proliferation was quantified and values are expressed as a percentage change from the untreated cells .
