Inflammatory Role of Toll-Like Receptors in Human and Murine Adipose Tissue

<table><i>TLR1</i>, <i>TLR2, TLR4</i>, and <i>TLR6</i> mRNA expression in adipose tissues according to localization (OM  =  omental, SC  =  subcutaneous;) in human subjects. The data are presented as the ratio of the levels of the target gene mRNA to that of <i>GAPDH</i> mRNA. The nonparametric paired Wilcoxon test was performed between subcutaneous and omental values for each gene and demonstrated a significant difference between omental and subcutaneous expression.</table>
