Concentration Kinetics of Serum MMP-9 and TIMP-1 after Blunt Multiple Injuries in the Early Posttraumatic Period

<table>There is a lower serum MMP-9 activity in patients presenting with an ISS &gt; 33 points in contrast to those with an ISS ≤ 33 regarding the first 12 h after trauma. Concerning the other points of time, there is no further remarkable significant difference between group 1a and 1b. Data were analyzed by Mann-Whitney Rank Sum test and presented by mean ± standard error of the mean.</table>
