Effects of PD on the serum levels of TNF-α (a) and IL-6 (b) in mice. Mice were pretreated i.p. with vehicle (PBS) or PD (15, 45, and 100 mg/kg, resp.) in the presence or absence of ZnPP IX (40 mg/kg) 1 h before CLP. Serum were collected 24 h after CLP operation, the cytokines were assayed by ELISA.
