Heme induces phosphorylation in AM. Rat AMs (3 × 106/mL) were cultured in the absence or presence of heme (10 μM) for different periods of time. Incubations were terminated by the addition of lysis buffer, and lysates were subjected to immunoprecipitation of and immunoblots with an anti- and p-serine antibodies were performed. The data shown are representative of three independent experiments. The mean ± S.D. is presented. when compared with controls.
