Heme induces NF-κB nuclear translocation in AM. Rat AMs (1 × 106/mL) were treated with heme (10 μM) for 1 hour. NF-κB nuclear content was assessed through immunocytochemistry using a Cy3-conjugated anti-p65 subunit antibody. LPS (1 μg/mL) was used as positive control.
