Genetic ablation of the Fn14 improves ventricular dysfunction and survival. (a) Genetic ablation of Fn14 in Fn14 mice protected from progressive deterioration of left ventricular function after MI. Overall this resulted in improved survival after MI ( ; for each group for survival analysis). (b) Fn14 mice also demonstrated reduced phosphorylation of p65. In addition upregulation of PGC-1α compared to wildtype littermates (Fn14 +/+) was also observed ( for Fn14 +/+ and for Fn14 for molecular analysis).
