IL-1β and TNFα Promote Monocyte Viability through the Induction of GM-CSF Expression by Rheumatoid Arthritis Synovial Fibroblasts

SF conditioned media promote monocyte viability. CD14+ cells were cultured 3 days in presence of medium alone (control (CT) cells), M-CSF, IL-34, GM-CSF, or conditioned media from RA SF stimulated or not (NS) with TNFα or IL-1β for 24 hours and from not stimulated OA SF. Monocyte viability was evaluated by colorimetric assay (WST-1). Results are given as the percentage of viability induced by M-CSF (100%) ( patients for RA and 2 patients for OA). ; ; .
