EGFP expressing versus CD11b+ PMNL, gated by their FSC/SSC properties as shown in Figure 1, were identified in a FL-1-FL-3 scattergram. The percentage of the indicated populations was determined through quadrant analysis of (a) pair- and (b) ethanol-fed mice. In (c), an overlay of FACS histograms, representative of five independent experiments, demonstrates elevated EGFP expression in PMNLs from ethanol pretreated mice. The orange-filled histogram depicts pair-fed controls and the green-filled graph ethanol-fed mice.
