Proinflammatory cytokine production of F4/80− hepatic macrophages following ethanol feeding in response to LPS or TNF-α. Kupffer cells were isolated from cis-NF-κ mice after 4 weeks of pair feeding regime, as described in Section 2, and stimulated with 10 μg/mL LPS or 500 ng/mL TNF-α. Culture supernatants were collected at 2 h, 4 h, and 24 h after stimulation. IL-6 (a) and TNF-α (b) were measured by cytometric bead array (CBA).
