Development and Validation of Protein Microarray Technology for Simultaneous Inflammatory Mediator Detection in Human Sera

Correlation between microarray and ELISA cytokine detection levels. The levels of 16 cytokines were quantified by microarray and ELISA techniques in up to 30 human serum samples. Paired -tests showed there were no significant differences between the two techniques for any of the cytokines tested. The 16 cytokines were eotaxin-1, eotaxin-2, IFN-γ, IL-1β, IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-17, IL-23, IP-10, MCP-1, RAGE, TGF-β, TNF-α, and VEGF.
