Liver alterations in B6 and A/J mice supplemented with ethanol. Liver sections were obtained from B6 and A/J mice fed with HFD, HFDM, or HFDE for 10 weeks. Liver sections were formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded before HE staining. Arrowheads point to inflammatory cell infiltrates (magnification 40x) (a). Ten random fields of each slide at magnification of 40x were photographed and the percentage of steatosis was measured using the Image J program (b).
