Expression of antimicrobial peptide CRAMP and TNFR2 after pneumococcal meningitis in hippocampus and cortex. 30 h after subarachnoid infection with Streptococcus pneumoniae, mRNA expression of CRAMP or TNFR2 was determined in the hippocampal formation (a and b) and cortex (c and d) from TNFR1-, IL-6-, or TNFR1-IL-6-KO and WT mice by real-time RT-PCR. Data were assessed from five independent experiments in duplicate.
