Mobile Data Cloud Storage in the Era of Intelligence

Description

With the development of the mobile Internet, various types of mobile terminal devices are generating data anytime and anywhere in various modalities, such as text, images, and video. Due to the huge amount of data, relying only on the hardware of the mobile terminal itself cannot meet the storage requirements of the data. With the development of 5G technology, the speed of network data transmission is accelerating, and the transmission cost is decreasing, and so many mobile terminal users choose to store data in the cloud.

Due to the increasing amounts of mobile data, the number of disks and servers required for cloud storage services has also increased sharply, which has brought great challenges to the field of cloud storage. Many traditional methods have encountered bottlenecks in realizing low-cost, high-reliability, and low-latency mobile data cloud storage services. With the advent of the intelligent era, the rapid development of intelligent mobile terminals, edge computing technology, new storage media, and artificial intelligence technology has brought new opportunities to the field of mobile data cloud storage. The effectively combination of the latest technologies with distributed storage is a method of achieving more efficient and intelligent mobile data cloud storage services that is attracting increasing attention.

This Special Issue focuses on how to solve the many problems faced by mobile data cloud storage with the help of new technologies in the intelligent era. Specifically, mobile data has the characteristics of fragmentation, large volume, and high read and write frequency, which will increase the disk failure rate and bring difficulties to the operation and maintenance of mobile data cloud storage. Mobile data often contains the personal information of mobile terminal users, which therefore requires higher reliability and security in mobile data cloud storage. At the same time, traditional storage media struggle to meet the low latency requirements for reading and writing mobile data. Therefore, this Special Issue accepts artificial intelligence-related methods that can improve the operation and maintenance efficiency of mobile data cloud storage, new ideas and methods that can realize safe and reliable mobile data cloud storage services, new storage media that can meet the low latency requirements for reading and writing mobile data, and edge computing technology that can improve the service capacity of mobile data cloud storage. Original research and review articles are both welcome.
