New Developments on Robust Nonlinear Control and Its Applications
Description
The aim of this special issue is to encourage the development of analysis and design techniques for uncertain or disturbed nonlinear systems. Although the problems of achieving robustness with respect to disturbances and model uncertainties are as old as feedback control itself, effective systematic methods for the robust design of nonlinear systems are still a challenging topic, especially for the potential of robust nonlinear controllers in engineering applications. The main focus of the issue is on interdisciplinary theoretical studies, computational algorithm development, and applications of uncertain or disturbed nonlinear systems, but also related areas such as nonlinear modeling, simulation, and identification are included.
The guest editors will jointly organize more than 10 institutions’ researchers from Japan, China, and all of world, and the researchers from different disciplines will discuss the latest developments from the novel theory and application of robust control design and estimation techniques in uncertain or disturbed nonlinear systems. Meanwhile, the guest editors will select some papers from their conference: the 2013 International Conference on Advanced Mechatronic Systems http://www.tuat.ac.jp/~deng/icamechs2013/icamechs2013.html, where Prof. Deng is the general chair of the conference. As a result, high-quality papers on “New Developments on Robust Nonlinear Control and Its Applications” will have an opportunity to be published in Mathematical Problems in Engineering. We invite authors to submit original research papers to this special issue. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Robust control
- Nonlinear system and control
- Control system modeling and design
- Nonlinear modeling, identification, and control
- Nonlinear control and simulation
- Intelligent control, neurocontrol, fuzzy control, and so forth
- Engineering application of robust nonlinear control
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal’s Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/mpe/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/submit/journals/mpe/rnc/ according to the following timetable:
