Outcome Measures in Multiple Sclerosis

Call for Papers

Multiple Sclerosis International aims to attract papers of high quality regarding outcome measures (clinical and paraclinical measures of disease activity or disease burden) in multiple sclerosis (MS). Of particular interest are new outcome measures, critical assessments of existing outcome measures, and outcome measures for use in pediatric MS. In addition, we welcome papers that specifically focus on how outcome measures are integrated into the clinical care of patients and into clinical trials. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Relapses
  • Clinical disability/disability progression
  • Gait
  • Balance
  • Strength
  • Sensation
  • Bladder/bowel
  • Vision (optical coherence tomography, evoked potentials)
  • Quality of life
  • Fatigue
  • Cognition
  • Depression
  • Pain and spasticity
  • MRI metrics (brain and spinal cord)
  • Integration of MS outcome measures into the clinical care setting
