Changes in slow eEPSC amplitudes during and after repetitive stimulation at 3 Hz for 30 seconds. (a) shows the average response amplitudes at low frequency (0.05 Hz) recorded during 35 minutes stimulation in 7 neurones. During the period indicated by the arrow, stimulation was increased to 3 Hz for 30 seconds and the average response amplitudes (first 37 only for clarity) recorded during this period are shown in (b). The only significant differences compared to the mean control value are indicated by the asterisks in (a).
