Transvaginal Drainage of Pelvic Abscesses and Collections Using Transabdominal Ultrasound Guidance

(c) 6 F pigtail catheter is advanced into the collection. 45 mL of pus was aspirated with collapse of the abscess cavity (d). The catheter was removed 2 days later and the patient was discharged. Cultures were positive.
