Cell viability of cultured cardiomyocytes treated with CSM bark extract. Rat cardiomyocytes were treated with CSM bark extract, solubilised in DMSO, as described in Materials and Methods section. (a) Cell viability was analysed by the MTT test as reported in Materials and Methods section, (b) cell viability was analysed by flow cytometry. Cells were double-labelled with Annexin V-PE 7 AAD and analyzed by a Guava EasyCyte flow cytometer. Data are reported as means S.D. * with respect to controls.
