There are four major types of phytocompounds that can modulate intracellular redox status: (A) phenolics, (B) terpenes, (C) vitamins, and (D) organosulfides. They show free radical scavenging, Nrf2/ARE activation, and/or facilitation of ROS production in cancer cells.
