Role of Steen solution in the cellular NADPH oxidase activation. In vitro study: NADPH oxidase activation, evaluated by the release of sNOX2-dp, in cells suspended in the buffer solution (BS) or Steen solution and stimulated with or without arachidonic acid (AA) (0.5 mM) for platelet (PLT) (a), lipopolysaccharide (LPS) (50 pg/mL) for lymphocytes/monocytes (LYM/MON) (b), and phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) (10 μM) for polymorphonuclear leukocytes (PMNs) (c).
