PS exposure on THP-1 monocytic cells induced by lowbush blueberry Pcys. Dose-response curve and EC₅₀ value for lowbush blueberry Pcys incubated in raising concentrations were determined on THP-1 cells (upper right graph) after 24 h of incubation. Cells were stained using Annexin V-/PI apoptotic assay as described in Section 2.3 ( independent experiments; 2,000 events per sample were analyzed). Cytograms presented here illustrate the fact that Pcys on early apoptosis could be observed on the contrary of the data obtained for 50 μM celastrol (lower right cytogram).
