The C-ETS2-TFEB Axis Promotes Neuron Survival under Oxidative Stress by Regulating Lysosome Activity

Figure 4

TFEB translocated to the nucleus under oxidative stress. (a) SHY5Y cells were treated with H2O or H2O2 and the subcellular fraction was separated to analyse the levels of TFEB proteins in the cytoplasm and nucleus. The histogram on the right shows the quantification of the western blot results. (b) The localization of TFEB was detected by immunofluorescence staining and observed via confocal microscopy. The histogram on the right shows percentage of cells in which TFEB was found in the nucleus. (c) SHY5Y cells were treated with H2O or H2O2, and the subcellular fraction was obtained. These protein samples were electrophoresed on SDS-polyacrylamide gels with Phos-tag to enable observation of the phosphorylation status of TFEB.
