Effect of LPS in young and aged mice on cardiac oxidative damage. Cardiac oxidative markers protein nitration (a) by histology and protein nitrotyrosine (b) and carbonyl (c) content measured by quantitative ELISA. All markers were significantly increased in LPS treated mice. Increase of LPS induced cardiac inflammation in aged mice was significantly higher than young ones.
