HCV-Induced Oxidative Stress: Battlefield-Winning Strategy

HCV-induced oxidative stress and HCC inception. HCV nonstructural (NS) proteins induced oxidative stress throughout disturbance of mitochondrial metabolism. The generation of ROS activates stress-induced signaling pathways that enhance the overexpression of DHCR24, a pivotal protein for HCV replication and HCC induction.
