TH-immunoreactive cell counts from the Substantia Nigra compacta (SNc) and Ventral Tegmental Area (VTA). The data are presented as the mean ± SE. A statistically significant decrease in TH-immunoreactive cells was detected in the SNc ( ANOVA test) of Mn-exposed mice compared to controls with no difference in the VTA.
