Mechanisms of action of PPAR ligands in hematological malignancies. PPAR ligands can bind to and activate PPAR
to regulate gene transcription or they can exert PPAR-independent mechanisms.
PPAR ligands have antiproliferative,
prodifferentiation, antimetastatic, and proapoptotic effects on several
hematological malignancies making them promising candidates for use in
therapeutic regimens.
