Current mode of action for PPAR$\gamma$. PPAR$\gamma$ and RXR form a heterodimer, which is activated by the respective ligands. The activated PPAR$\gamma$/RXR heterodimer will be translocated into nucleus and regulates downstream target genes in concert with nuclear receptor coactivators.
