NF-κB binding was determined by EMSA. We collected liver tissue specimens at various time points (0.5, 1, 3, 6, and 8 h) after Con A injection. At 1 h after the Con A injection, NF-κB was activated in the nonpioglitazone-treated mice, whereas the NF-κB activation was suppressed in the pioglitazone-treated mice.
