PPAR isoforms in skeletal muscle. Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor PPAR isoforms (PPARδ, PPARα, PPARγ) levels normalized to the expression of glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) in skeletal muscle in subjects without HIV infection (control) and subjects with HIV disease who were either sensitivity to insulin (HIV-IS) or resistant to insulin (HIV-IR). Insulin sensitivity was determined with the hyperinsulinemic euglycemic clamp. The data are expressed as mean and SEM multiplied by 100.
