Timing of image acquisition: there is a 21 s (exactly 2.5 times the acquisition time frame) interval between start of the first and second bolus application. The solid and dashed lines schematize the contrast agent volume in the arterial and venal vessels. In the depicted case the second bolus would yield optimal contrast (see Figure 2 bottom row).
