rAAV-mediated gene transfer in primary human chondrosarcoma cells in vitro. Cells in monolayer culture were transduced with rAAV-RFP or rAAV-lacZ (20 or 40 μL) and processed to monitor transgene expression 20 days after vector application by analyzing live fluorescence ((a) magnification ×40; insets: same fields under transmitted light) and by X-gal staining ((b) magnification ×20).
