CD34-positive (left; secondary antibody Texas red) and α-smooth muscle actin-positive (α-SMA, middle; secondary antibody FITC) staining is shown. The cells surrounding the microvessels are positive for both CD34 and α-SMA (right panel: marked with black arrow heads), suggesting a possible relationship between pericytes and MSCs. Nuclei were counterstained with hematoxylin. Scale bars, 20 μm.
